Sonnet. Coming Home

I look to see if you were going to follow
I hesitantly turn away
My soul is becoming hollow
I can't seem to find the words to say
I continue walking down the broken road
The one mostly taken
Now carrying my own heavy load
I wonder how He isn't shaken
As I slowly began to think
Of how much He loves me
All of His promises began to sink
I then saw that I was made to be
I instantly turn back around running faster than life
Knowing that I am with Him, I could always take another strife

(poetry)

People say they think of love when they hear the word poetry.
Why love? Love is not related to poetry at all. Love might be a subject that is talked about, but how is it possible to hear love out of poetry??

Who Am I (Poetry)

Who am I to decide if I could love You
Who am I to decide if I could live this life

I'm not the one who died on the cross
I'm not the one who gave it all
I'm not the one who sacrificed
I'm not the son, Jesus Christ

Tell me who I am, oh Lord, tell me who I am

You're my beloved, my dearest child
I think of you every moment, Oh, I love you
My love was hung on the cross
Arms spread wide open waiting for you
I rather die than live with out you
I rather die than live with out you
Now, tell me who can love you more than me?

Believing (Poetry)

I've been wondering what's after this life
I've been wanting to know where I would go
People tell me different stories
People tell me what they think
People tell me what they see
What am I suppose to believe?

But faith is all I need,
I just need to believe
It's not about knowing tomorrow
It's not about knowing what's next
It's just about believing
Believing that there's a higher power
Believing that there's a God who cares
Believing, believing

I've been wondering what to seek
I've been wanting to know why You don't show
These voices in my head keep saying
He doesn't love me, He doesn't care
I'm going to end up with them
What am I suppose to believe?

When the storm seems to never end
When darkness seems to win again
I then remember what's in my heart
This is all for the glory of God

Hearing the word, Poetry.

Hearing the word poetry brings back many many memories that I wish I wouldn't remember. Back then, I used to love writing poetry. I would write about what I was going through, what I currently felt, and what I wish I had. But now I push those memories away and I see it as a part, a chapter, or a section of someone's life. Poetry explains something much more deeper than words itself. It gives so much emotions that is felt rather than just hearing the words itself. Poetry is something beautiful created by simple words but turning into something bigger, something much more deeper, life.

The Sound of Love. (religious)

"The Chrysanthemums" by John Steinbeck, and "The Story of An Hour" by Kate Chopin.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” —I Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV)

It's funny how we think we're in love when we get a new boyfriend/girlfriend that is better than our ex. Also coming from that relationship, we think that our knowledge in "relationships" is far more complex than what we use to know before that. But if you do not have a relationship with Christ or your relationship is weak, then you know nothing about love and relationships.

I remember the first time I had a boyfriend. I thought that it was the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I put him first in everything! I didn't even know what I was doing. Honestly, it was not satisfying. I tried to do everything and to tell my self that this is good for me and I need the experience. But I was completely wrong. Right when I knew that there was more to this life, that was when God decided that it was the right time for Him to come in to my life and change me inside out!!

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:7-8

No wonder Elisa and  Mrs. Mallard weren't happy, they didn't know true love.

"The Parable of the Prodigal Son" (religious)

"But you, Lord our God, are compassionate and forgiving, although we have rebelled against you." (Daniel 9:9)
Being human we all are sinners. The moment Eve spoke with Satan that was then the life of humanity was change forever.  "Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?" The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die." (Genesis 3:1-2) First of all, God didn't say they couldn't touch it, He specifically said that they weren't allowed to eat it. "The LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”(Genesis 2:16-17)

From this, we can see that God's mercy and His grace is far beyond what we can imagine. Not only did He give us a second chance but He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ so we will not parish but have everlasting life with Him in heaven.

"The Parable of the Prodigal Son" is a wonderful example of how we are today in society as Christians. Though we try not to stray away and focus on God, it doesn't work very well. We get caught up in school, work, family, or even ourselves that we forget what we're really here on earth for. And when we realized that we have strayed away, we come running back to our Lord and He takes us and holds us and hugs us forever because He is so happy that we're back. God never ever leaves us, we do all the walking.

"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him" (4th Paragraph). The father here is a resemblance of God. The father sees his son from afar, has compassion, runs to the son showing love though the son has sinned. This is EXACTLY like most of us Christians. We always take advantage of God's love yet He forgives us for it.

[God isn't mad at you, He's not disappointed. He is greater than all of your wrong choices. He's full of mercy, He's ever kind. Hear his invitation, His arms are open wide. You can come as  are, all of your broken pieces, all of your shameful scars, the pain you hold in your heart, bring it all to Jesus.]
